The Galilee Chapel Project
St Illtud’s Church is bidding to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to support the project to develop the Galilee Chapel. HLF have passed the project for Stage 1 of their process which means that they have undertaken to provide grant aid for the costs of further development work.
The aim of the Project is to bring the roofless Galilee Chapel back into use as a centre for education in Celtic Christian studies, and provide an appropriate exhibition space for the Celtic Christian stones. An archive room, toilets and a tea station will also be provided to facilitate and support an increased community use of the church.
